Jim & Betty Wellington When searching for a new place to live that embodied "quality of life", we had a specific list of requirements. Quality of schooling for our children, quality and availability of land for horseback riding, clear night skies full of stars, abundant sunshine in the day, beautiful scenery, and opportunity as we are not yet of retirement age. Our first visit to Pagosa Springs was just after a wet spring. The meadow grasses were green, lush, and tall. The surrounding mountain peaks were crested in white, the air crisp and fresh. An abundance of grazing horses and cattle made us feel right at home. We saw streamer meadows filled with Aspens spilling down from the surrounding hills. We saw large herds of elk. We saw diversity in the land. We could, walk, ride our horses, mountain bike, or just sit out in an open landscape of sage and mountain grasses with views of ominous snow tipped mountains. Or we could find ourselves exploring forests with creeks, waterfalls, natural hot springs, and abundant wildlife trails. We found Oak, Pine, Fir, Cedar, and Aspen trees here. It is the landscape here that genuinely affected us. It is the landscape here that affects everybody. It is why people come to live in Pagosa Springs. Having lived here now for some time and having established a strong business with incredible clients, I have no regrets. And, as a Colorado Real Estate Broker, I love what I do and the people I meet.
